WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. — After one day and two rounds of play, Illinois women's golf sits tied for first with host Purdue at the 2026 Boilermaker Spring Classic. In round one, the Orange and Blue tallied a field-best 286 (-2), the lowest round of the day and only round under par, along with a 296 (+8) in round two.
As a team, Illinois led the field with 28 birdies and tied for the most pars (113). The Fighting Illini also owned the best scoring average on par fours, a 4.11.
Individually, Anna Ritter was the low scorer, finishing day one in sole possession of third place. Consistency helped Ritter earn her place near the top of the leaderboard, as she notched a 71 (-1) in both rounds. Ritter sits tied for the second best scoring average on par threes, at 2.88.
Also inside the top ten are teammates Alexis Myers and Brielle Mapanao, both tied for ninth place. Myers carded an even 72 in round one and a 75 (+3) in round two. The freshman notched seven birdies on the day, one of just five players to tally seven or more.
Mapanao finished round one with a 73 (+1) and round two with a 74 (+2). She was tied for the most pars on the day, with 27.
Just behind Myers and Mapanao is Erica Lee, who sits in a six-way tie for 13th place. Lee carded the best first round of the entire field, a 70 (-2), along with a 78 (+6) in the second round of the day.
Victoria Zheng sits tied for 19th after carding a 73 (+1) in the opening round and a 76 (+4) in round two.
Illinois' pair of individual competitors, Kylie Eaton and Tavia Burgess, sit tied for 37th and 78th place, respectively.
The Fighting Illini will return for the final round of competition on Monday, April 13, at the Ackerman-Allen Course. Play will once again commence with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT, and the results can be followed live on Scoreboard by Clippd.
