HUMBLE, Texas — Illinois women's golf completed its first two rounds at the Chevron Collegiate on Monday, currently sitting in a tie for 12th place. The Orange and Blue tallied team scores of 301 (+13) and 288 (E), for a two-round total of 589.
The low scorer for the Illini on the day was Anna Ritter, who carded a 78 (+6) in the opening round, before storming back to earn a 67 (-5) in round two, the best single round for any Illini on Monday. Ritter was one-under par on six of 18 holes in round two.
Victoria Zheng and Brielle Mapanao sit tied for 41st, with Mapanao logging a 73 (-1) for both rounds, while Zheng notched a 72 (E) and 74 (+2), in rounds one and two, respectively.
Erica Lee is in 69th with rounds of 78 (+6) and 74 (+2), while Alexis Myers sits 82nd, carding a 81 (+9) in round one, and a 75 (+3) in round two.
UNC is the current team leader, sitting at 561 (-15) through the first day of play. Kiara Romero of Oregon is atop the individual leaderboard at 136 (-8).
