  • Ended Colgate career with 33 starts on the offensive line
  • 2020-21 All-Patriot League first team (Coaches)
  • Season moved to spring and two games played

2019 Junior (Colgate)

  • All-Patriot League first team (Coaches)
  • Phil Steele All-Patriot League first team
  • Missed opening game because of injury but then started final 11 games
  • Helped Raiders lead Patriot League in time of possession at 32:14 per game

2018 Sophomore (Colgate)

  • Sophomore All-America Hero Sports
  • All-Patriot League First Team (Coaches, Phil Steele)
  • Ended season with 20 consecutive starts -- most of any returning offensive player
  • Helped Raiders lead Patriot League in rushing for 11th time in last 12 seasons 
  • Part of Raiders unit that led Patriot League in scoring offense at 27.0 points per game and total offense at 344.3 yards per game

2017 Freshman (Colgate)

  • Earned first career start against Furman 9/23/17
  • Part of offensive line unit that sparked Raiders to 185.3 rushing yards per game, top in Patriot League

  • Twice earned school’s Rev. Michael I. English SJ Memorial Coaches’ Award and was named Ramblers’ Offensive MVP

  • Born March 27, 1999
  • Son of Pete and Kathy Badovinac
  • Has one brother, Sam, who played football at Butler University
  • Chose Illinois because, “It has always been a dream of mine to play Big Ten football in my home state, and I am really excited with what Coach Bielema and his staff are doing here. I had great conversations with the coaches and it truly felt like a family.”
  • Graduated with a degree in political science from Colgate in 2021
  • Enrolled in the strategic brand communication master’s program
