CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women's soccer team (4-2-5, 1-2-2 Big Ten) picked up its first Big Ten win of the season against Oregon (6-3-2, 1-3-1 Big Ten), 2-0, on Senior Sunday in Demirjian Park.

Gabriella Garcia-Terrell put the Illini on the board first in the 52nd minute with the eventual game winner after Ashlyn Adams played a crosser inside the box to her and she buried the shot off her right foot. That was the Illini's first goal in conference play this season, Garcia-Terrell's second goal of the year and Adams added to her team-leading assists now with four.

Not even three minutes later Ashleigh Vizek added an insurance goal off a corner kick from Ashley Stellon which gave the Illini the eventual 2-0 win. Vizek made her first start today and scored her first points as an Illini and Stellon notched her first assist of the season.

Izzy Lee made six saves to keep her Big Ten leading seventh clean sheet of the season. Four Illinois seniors were honored today for senior day being Ava Arengo, Hedda Ornberg, Myra Schneider and Sutton Webb.

The Orange and Blue soccer crew is back in action a week from today on Sunday (Oct. 4) when they play host to No. 2 Michigan State at 1 p.m. CT.
