West Lafayette, Ind. — Illinois swim and dive lost its Big Ten road meet at Purdue, 194-101, Saturday afternoon (Jan. 10).
On the Boards
Matilda Garcia led all Illinois divers, rocketing up to second in the record book with a 325.95 on the three-meter dive, the second-best score in program history. Garcia took silver in the event, while teammate Elleka Boeres rounded out the top three with a 262.05. Garcia also finished third on the one-meter boards, scoring a 271.65.
Between the Lanes
Sara Jass took home a pair of victories in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.05) and the 200 IM (2:00.70). Jass holds the current school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:12.90, which she set on November 21, 2025. The Illini swept the 200 IM with Chloe Diner (2:00.98) finishing in second, and Adelaide Reaser (2:07.72) in third.
