Illinois Swim Signs Virág Zámbó

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois swim and dive head coach Jeana Kempe announced the signing of Virág Zámbó on Tuesday morning, the fourth signee who will join the team for the 2026-27 campaign, alongside swimmers Kate Farrell and Eva Paraschiv, and diver Hanna Ekdahl.

Zámbó hails from Gyor, Hungary, where she has competed in the Hungarian Championship, Hungarian Youth Championship, and European Youth Olympic Festival. She is a three-time finalist at the Hungarian Youth Championship and two-time finalist at the Hungarian Championship.
