CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois swim and dive program returns to action with a home meet on Friday, October 14th at 3 p.m. CT in the ARC Pool. The Fighting Illini welcome in-state rivals Southern Illinois and Illinois State.
Scouting the In-State Visitors
Illinois State captured a 144-34 win over McKendree University in their season opener, while Southern Illinois also beat the same opponent, 229-69. Southern Illinois is coming off a season where they finished fourth at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships. Illinois State claimed second at the MVC Championships last season.
Last Meet
The Fighting Illini cruised to a victory over Indiana State, 165-135, last week. Freshman Liv Dorshorst is looking to improve her marks after making her debut last week.
