Education:
Acton earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration in 2007 from Eastern Illinois University.

Job Responsibilities:
Acton supervises the event management staff and all game day operations for Illinois’ 21 sports, as well as many championship events hosted on the Illinois campus. Acton is the primary event manager for football and women’s basketball and oversees a staff of four for all home athletic events.

Past Experience:
Before moving into to event management, Acton began his career as an intern in the Illinois Athletics Office of Sport Camps & Clinics in 2006. From 2008-10, he was an intern in the office of Event Management, and was hired as an event coordinator in 2011.

Personal:
Acton resides in Collison, Illinois, with his wife, Emily, and their three daughters, Parker, Reagan, and Brenna.
