Education: 

Wollenberg is a graduate of Maryville University and received two bachelor’s degrees in Sports Business Management and Marketing. Sean went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Business Management from Maryville University. 

Past Experience: 

Wollenberg joined the Fighting Illini following his time as Director – Business Development at Northwestern Sports Properties and Learfield from 2021-2025. Prior to that served as Senior Manager – Business Development at Northwestern Sports Properties (2016-2021), Manager – Business Development at Kansas State Sports Properties (2013 – 2016) and Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Missouri Valley Sports Properties (2010-2013). 

Personal: 

Sean grew up in Algonquin, IL and is married to Megan Wollenberg. They have one child together (2025)
