Education:
Rogers earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Eastern Illinois University.

Job Responsibilities:
Rogers leads the Data & Business Intelligence (DBI) group, which supports department-wide strategic planning through data integration, analytics, and reporting. DBI connects systems and teams to deliver insights that inform fundraising, performance, operations, and fan engagement. The group works across units to unify data sources, automate workflows, and build tools that help staff make faster, more informed decisions. Rogers founded the group to meet the growing need for reliable, accessible, and actionable data.

Past Experience:
Rogers has been with the University of Illinois since 1999 and has served as an Associate Athletic Director since 2016. For more than a decade, he led the Sports Technology group, overseeing infrastructure, game day operations, end user support, and software development. During that time, he modernized the department’s technology footprint, helped implement critical systems for team operations and compliance, and built strong partnerships with campus IT.

In parallel, he founded Fighting Illini Data, which evolved into today's DBI team. His work included building the department's first integrated financial dashboard for budget managers and executive staff, launching data tools to support donor engagement and recruiting, and streamlining complex reporting workflows for HR and payroll. These efforts helped move the Division toward more unified, data-informed decision-making.

Personal:
A native of Missouri, Rogers lives in Savoy with his wife.
