Education
Burton is a graduate of Illinois State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration with a sequence in Recreation Management and a focus in Event Planning in May 2010. 

Job Responsibilities
Burton oversees all events for the Office of Athletics Development and Varsity "I."  Her primary role is to coordinate events such as the Celebration of Giving, Stadium Club, and former student-athlete reunions. 

Past Experience
Burton joins the Athletics Development team with more than 10 years of experience in the event industry. Prior to joining the development staff, Burton was the Conference Center Director at the I Hotel and Conference Center, where she oversaw and coordinated a variety of events, many of which were associated with the University of Illinois. 

Personal
Burton and her husband, Joe, reside in Monticello with their sons, Bryce and Ty. She is a native of Fairbury, Illinois.
