Education:
Taylor received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Sport Management. He then went on to get his master’s degree from Central Michigan in Sport Administration.

Job Responsibilities:
Taylor’s responsibilities are to develop and conduct a comprehensive rules education program for baseball, football, men’s and women’s golf, soccer, softball, men’s and women’s track and field, cross country and all departmental units of DIA. He also serves as DIA’s gambling liaison and assists with governmental affairs.

Past Experience:
Before joining the Illini Compliance staff, Taylor was the Assistant Director of Compliance at Central Michigan University, where he was responsible for all faucets of the compliance office for CMU’s 18 athletic programs.

Taylor also worked as the Compliance Coordinator at the University of Tennessee. Some of his duties included monitoring recruiting activities, playing and practice seasons as well as assisting with initial eligibility.

Taylor’s compliance experience began as an undergraduate student with an internship at his alma mater where he later served as a graduate assistant there, as well.

Personal:
A native of Harrison, Michigan, Taylor is married to Katie Taylor, the Assistant Director in Illinois’ Event Management department. The couple resides in Champaign and are parents to daughter, Eleanor, and a German Shepherd, Knox.
