Brendan McGuire is in his fifth season as an Assistant Director of Football Video at his alma mater Illinois in 2025. McGuire graduated from the University of Illinois in 2020 with a degree in recreation, sport, and tourism, and spent three years as a video student manager for the Fighting Illini football team from 2017-20.

Following graduation, McGuire spent one season as the video coordinator at Austin Peay.

McGuire assists in all day-to-day video operations for the Fighting Illini, including opponent scouting video for coach and student-athlete review, recruiting film, and management of the student assistants staff.
