Annie Kennedy

Education:
Kennedy earned a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Columbia University in 2024 and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Maine in 2018.

Job Responsibilities: 
Kennedy is responsible for building relationships with prospective and current donors and securing major gifts to help continue driving the Fighting Illini forward.

Past Experience:
Kennedy joined Illinois Athletics after serving as the Assistant Director of Development for Major Gifts in the athletic department at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Prior to her time with the Badgers, she was the Assistant Director for Annual Giving at Columbia University, where she worked at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering.

Personal:
Originally from Long Island, New York, Kennedy was a pitcher on the University of Maine softball team. She helped lead the Black Bears to an America East Championship in 2016, advancing to the NCAA Tournament. Her father played both football and baseball at the University of North Carolina.
