Ally Kriefski is in her third as an assistant athletic trainer with the Illinois football program in 2026.
During her two seasons in Champaign, Kriefski has helped the Illini to its winningest two-year run in program history from 2024-25, including 19 wins, 11 Big Ten wins, six ranked wins, and two victories over SEC opponents in the 2024 Citrus Bowl vs. #14 South Carolina and 2025 Music City Bowl vs. #23 Tennessee. With Kriefski on staff, Illinois has the fourth-most Power-4 wins (15) over the last two seasons among Big Ten teams, behind only Ohio State (21), Oregon (20), and Indiana (19). The Illini are one of 15 Power-4 programs to win 9+ games in each of the last two seasons.
Kriefski joined the Fighting Illini from the Green Bay Packers, where she worked the 2022 and 2023 seasons as an athletic training fellow.
Kriefski was a student athletic trainer at Wisconsin-La Crosse while completing her master's from 2020-22, working primarily with the football program. She also spent two summers interning at the University of Wisconsin in the strength and conditioning department in 2018 and 2019.
Kriefski earned a bachelor's degree in exercise sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2020. She completed her master's degree in athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2022.
