Justin Games, ATC, SCAT, is in his first season as athletic trainer for the Fighting Illini men’s basketball program after joining the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics on June 6, 2025.
Games arrived in Champaign after spending 11 years at Furman, working with the Paladins men’s basketball and tennis teams. He was elevated to assistant director of sports medicine in 2022.
Prior to coming to Furman in 2014, Games served as an outreach athletic trainer for ATI Physical Therapy in Chicago for three years, providing athletic training coverage for the athletic teams of Harper College. He has additional experience as a Clinical Instructor and supervised athletic training students while at West Virginia and at Harper College. Also, Games served an additional internship with the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League. Has additional training in manual treatment techniques of Graston, and biomechanical analysis of upper extremity movement patterns.
Games earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 2009 and completed his Master degree and Athletic Trainer Residency from West Virginia in 2011.
Games and his wife, Missy, have two sons, Grady and Kallo.
