Fighting Illini Fall in Series Opener at Purdue on Friday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Fighting Illini fell in their series opener at Purdue, 6-1, on Friday afternoon at Alexander Field.

Illinois' run came on an RBI groundout in the ninth.
