CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois senior punter Keelan Crimmins was named to the Ray Guy Award Ray's 8, the organization announced on Monday. Crimmins was recognized as one of the top punters during Week 3 of the 2025 season.
Crimmins averaged 46.5 yards on his four punts during #9 Illinois' 38-0 shutout win against Western Michigan on Saturday at Gies Memorial Stadium. The Australia native had two punts that pinned the Broncos inside their own 20-yard line, including two 50+-yard kicks in the second and fourth quarters. He was also the holder on five successful extra point attempts.
Named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List in 2024, Crimmins was also tabbed to the Ray's 8 list during his first collegiate season in 2023. He is one of two Big Ten honorees on this week's list, joining Purdue's Jack McCallister.
Crimmins is averaging 44.9 yards across his eight punts thus far this season. #9 Illinois travels to #19 Indiana on Saturday night, with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m. CT on NBC.
