CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois swim and dive team is set to start the 2025 year with the dive team on the road at Northern Arizona on Tuesday (Jan. 7) at 3:30 p.m. and the Big Ten opener against Purdue at the ARC Pool on Saturday (Jan. 11) at 3 p.m. CT.

On Tuesday, the divers will compete against both Northern Arizona and Rice in a team diving event. In team diving events, teams of divers will do a total of six different dives, with each competitor performing two dives. Each team must partake in all six dives and they must do two each from the one meter springboard, the three meter springboard and the platform.

The Orange and Blue aquatics crew currently holds a perfect 5-0 dual record on the season; with a win over Purdue on Saturday it would be their first 6-0 start since the 2010-11 season where they started 7-0.

Purdue currently holds a perfect 2-0 (1-0 B1G) dual record on the season with a 161-139 ranked win over No. 25 Missouri on Oct. 25 and their Big Ten win over Rutgers, 191-106, on Nov. 8. The Boilermakers finished in sixth place out of 12 teams at the Big Ten Championships last season.
