WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Illinois swim and dive team finished their tri meet against Purdue and Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 13. Freshman diver Elle Crisostomo recorded the program's eighth-highest score on the platform dive (215.35); she placed fourth in today's competition.
Junior Sydney Stoll collected three event wins today: the 100 butterfly (54.84), 200 freestyle (1:50.11) and the 200 IM (2:02.13).
Freshman Matilda Garcia recorded a new personal-best today in the three-meter dive exhibition (287.35). Crisostomo joined Garcia diving a new personal-best on the three-meter boards (270.95).
The 200 medley relay team of Stoll, freshman Kylee Sessions, junior Logan Kuehne and senior Lily Olson began the meet with a bronze medal (1:43.29). Olson later went on to take silver in the 50 freestyle (23.56).
The 400 freestyle relay team of Olson, senior Laurel Bludgen, Kuehne and freshman Maggie Adler ended the day with a third-place finish (1:43.29).
The Illini fell to Missouri, 195-105, and conference opponent Purdue by a score of 208-92.
