Wrestling Heads To Maryville Open On Saturday

First tournament of the season for the Illini
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Fighting Illini will wrestle in their first tournament of the season at the Maryville/Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open on Saturday. The tournament, held in Saint Louis, will begin at 9 a.m. CT.
Representing Illinois:
Josh Contreras, Andy O'Brien, Jake Silzer, Demarius Smith, Mousa Jodeh, Johnny Mologousis, Nick Gasbarro, Jake DiBenedetto, Brian Burns, Andre Lee, Deuce Rachal, Colin Carr, Ryder Punke, Dylan Thurston, Matt Wroblewski, Jack Stein, Carver James
Wrestling Unattached:
Danny Braunagel, Zac Braunagel, Justin Cardani, Seamus O'Donnell, Dane Durlacher, David Riojas, Eddie Ordonez, Kenny Kerstein, Baan Rachal, Garett Rich
Several Illini will be making their season debuts for the Orange and Blue on Saturday. O'Brien, Silzer Smith, Jodeh, Mologousis, Gasbarro, Burns, Punke, Thurston, Stein, Wroblewski James and Riojas will all be making their first appearance for the Illini this season. Additionally, graduate transfer Colin Carr will be seeing his first action with Illinois on Saturday.

The Illini will compete at a tournament for the second consecutive a weekend as the team will head to the Lindenwood Open in St. Charles, Mo. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. CT.
