CHICAGO (AP) - Malcolm Hill had 13 points to lead the Fighting Illini in a 73-55 Big Ten Tournament second-round loss to Michigan on Thursday.

Michigan nailed 7 of 15 3-pointers. Illinois shot just 1 of 13 from long range.

Rayvonte Rice added 10 points for the Illini and freshman Leron Black had 10 points and five rebounds.

Michigan opened the game with a big run, withstood a charge by Illinois and finished the first half with another strong push to grab a 40-23 lead at the break.

Illinois will await its postseason fate, which will be decided Sunday night.
