Justin Peak concluded his fourth season as the Fighting Illini’s Video and Scouting Operations Coordinator in 2024-25. He originally joined the Illini in June 2021.
Peak, a native of Dothan, Ala., arrived at Illinois with more than eight years of NCAA Division I women’s basketball experience, including most recently at his alma mater, Auburn, where he served as the Tigers’ Director of Basketball Services/Video Coordinator from 2018-21.
In his role at Auburn, Peak was instrumental to the program’s operations. He was responsible for all aspects of video editing, film breakdown, and video exchange, while also coordinating the preparation of scouting reports.
Peak’s stint 2018-21 marked his second at Auburn, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing focus in 2015. During his time as a student at AU, he spent four years as Tigers’ practice player before taking on a role as the team’s Assistant Director of Basketball Services for the 2015-16 season.
Peak spent the 2016-17 season at Stony Brook as the Seawolves’ Director of Player Development, and the 2017-18 season at Georgia Tech as a graduate manager for the Yellow Jackets before returning to Auburn.
