Sophomore - 2025

• Competed in four meets, primarily on floor and high bar
• Set a new career high on floor (13.800)  vs. Army and Greenville on March 1
• Set a new career high and won event title on high bar (13.600)  vs. Army and Greenville on March 1 
• Academic All-Big Ten

Freshman - 2024

• Made Illini debut on pommel horse (13.350), parallel bars (13.350) and high bar (11.550) at Greenville on Jan. 20
• Earned his first title on parallel bars (14.150) versus William & Mary, Simpson on March 1
• Competed in seven meets, primarily on parallel bars
• Broke his career high on high bar (13.300) at the NCAA Super Six on April 20 

High School/Club

• Trained at Gymnastics Olympica with coaches Paul Sargsyan and Capri Sano, who are arguably some of the best technical coaches in the world
• Consecutive four-time All-Around National Champion 
• All-around champion at the U.S. Championships
• Helped win all-around team gold at the 2021 Pan American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico
• Helped secure team gold at the 2022 DTB Pokal in Stuttgart, Germany
• Won an individual gold medal on high-bar and still rings in Stuttgart, Germany
• Won an individual gold medal in all-around at the 2021 Pan Am Games in Cali, Colombia

Personal

• Born on Sept. 10, 2005
• Majoring in Interdisciplinary Heath Sciences, Health Behavior
• Parents are Rudolf Petrosyan and Taguhi Manucharyan
• Has two siblings, Milena and Elen
• Chose Illinois because of "its welcoming and pleasant environment. The gymnastics team and coaches have created a gratifying culture like no other. The gymnastics team and coaches as a whole were all highly passionate and prideful in their work, which is exactly what I was looking for in a team."
