• 3-star forward and No. 4-ranked player in state of Illinois
• Ranked No. 110 by Top247, No. 144 by On3, No. 162 by 247Sports Composite, and No. 182 by On3 Industry
• Seventh member of Yorkville High School’s 1,000- point club
• Led Yorkville to 44 victories over his final two seasons, including a Class 4A Regional Final as a junior in 2022-23
• As a senior in 2023-24, averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds to earn All-Area, and All-Conference and third team All-State honors.
• Averaged 11.5 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks during his junior season, earning All-Area, All-Conference and special mention All-State honors

• Majoring in business 
• Parents are Dr. Tomas and Mary Beth Jakstys
• Father, Tom, played college basketball at Illinois Wesleyan.
• Has two older brothers, Jake and Justin, and a younger brother, Joey 
• Played for Breakaway on the AAU circuit, under coach Greg Ktistou
• Signed with Illinois Nov. 8, 2023
• Proudest basketball accomplishment is breaking the school record for wins at Yorkville as a junior in 2022-23 
• Fan of all Chicago sports teams: Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Hawks 
• Chose Illinois because “I grew up as an Illini fan. My dad is from Champaign so we always watched Illinois. I also felt like this was the best opportunity for me to get better as a player and person."
