Biography
2024-25 SOPHOMORE (AT CAL)
- Emerged as one of the most versatile players in the ACC in his first season as a Golden Bear
- Tabbed as an All-ACC Team honorable mention following the conclusion of the regular season
- Named to NABC All-Pacific District Second Team
- Team leader in scoring (17.9 PPG, sixth in ACC) & blocks (1.2 BPG) in addition to 4.7 rebounds & 1.8 assists in 33.4 minutes played per game
- Started 28 of 29 games played; missed 4 consecutive games due to illness & injury between Jan. 22-Feb. 1
- 1 of only 3 players in NCAA Division I to average at least 17.9 PPG/4.7 RPG/1.8 APG/1.2 BPG, joining Duke's Cooper Flagg & Auburn's Johni Broome
- Earned a spot on the ACC All-Tournament First Team after averaging 33.0 PPG on 57.1% shooting in two tournament contests
- Erupted for career-high 37 points (13 of 22 shooting) in second-round loss to Stanford (March 12)
- His 37 points vs. Stanford were the most points scored in an ACC Tournament game since 2013 & the most ever in an ACC Tournament second-round contest
- Poured in 29 points to lead Cal past Virginia Tech in first round (March 11)
- Made dramatic improvements from his freshman year at Stanford to his sophomore year in Berkeley, particularly in scoring (7.8 to 17.9 PPG), rebounding (3.4 to 4.7 RPG), free-throw percentage (52.8% to 81.8%) & blocks (0.1 to 1.2 BPG)
- Scored 20+ points in 13 games, 11 of which were against power-conference competition
- Impressed at the free-throw line, making 135 of 165 attempts (81.8%)
- Had 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting at Clemson (Jan. 4)
- Dominated Northwestern State (Dec. 14) with 31 points on 10-of-14 shooting, 7 rebounds, 4 assists & 3 blocks
- Posted first career double-double with 16 points & 10 rebounds at Stanford (Feb. 22), his first return to Maples Pavilion
- Tallied a career-high 6 blocks to go along 21 points in a quadruple-overtime loss at Notre Dame (March 8)
- Dished out a career-best 4 assists twice, including at North Carolina (Jan. 15)
