
Illinois Women’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Head coach Renee Slone has announced the Illinois women's golf schedule for the 2026-27 campaign.
To start the season, the Fighting Illini head south to Trophy Club, Texas, for The Bruzzy presented by Ashley Herrera, hosted by North Texas, Sept. 8-9.
The squad then returns north for the Badger Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin, Sept. 13-15, in Madison, Wis. Last season at the University Ridge Golf Course, Illinois earned its first team championship of the season, while standout freshman Alexis Myers secured the individual title after shooting a 207 (-9).
October opens with two events in Illinois, starting with the Windy City Classic, Oct. 5-6, hosted by Northwestern at the Glen View Club.
The Illini then host the Illini Women's Invitational, October 12-13 at Medinah Country Club on Course 2. This fall, Medinah will also serve as host for the prestigious President's Cup. Fall concludes at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational in Asheville, North Carolina, hosted by UNC Asheville, October 26-27.
Spring begins with the Golf Club of Houston Invitational on February 8, hosted by Houston.
The Fighting Illini then return to a pair of familiar events, the Spartan Suncoast Invitational, hosted February 14-15 by Michigan State in Sarasota, Fla, and the Chevron Collegiate, hosted by Houston from Feb. 22-23. in Humble, Texas.
March features the Mountain View Collegiate, co-hosted by Kansas State and Missouri at the Preserve Golf Club in Tuscon, Arizona, March 14-16.
April opens at the Olde Stone Collegiate, hosted by Western Kentucky, April 5-6, at The Club at Olde Stone. Once again, the regular season finishes with the Boilermaker Spring Classic, April 11-12. The Fighting Illini have found great success at the Boilermaker, taking home the team title in each of the last two seasons.
The 2026 Big Ten Championships will be held April 23-25 in Farmington, Pennsylvania, at the Nemacolin Resort.
NCAA Regionals are slated for May 10-12 at six sites, including: Old Barnwell (Aiken, South Carolina), Trinity Forest Golf Club (Dallas, Texas), Sycamore Hills Golf Club (Fort Wayne, Indiana), Vanderbilt Legends Club (Franklin, Tennessee), PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Gardens, Florida), and the Stanford Golf Course (Stanford, California). The season wraps at the NCAA Championships, which return once again to the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California, May 21-26.
The Fighting Illini look to build on a 2025 campaign that included the tenth regional of Coach Slone's tenure, and the program's best postseason finish since 2019 (7th, NCAA Stanford Regional)
