CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 25 Illinois women's gymnastics team (5-2, 0-1) will continue conference competition in a road contest with No. 11 Ohio State (1-2, 0-1) at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, Jan. 29, in Columbus, Ohio. The meet will air on Big Ten Network.  Â

Facing each other on and off since 1984, Illinois sits at an 8-13-1 all-time record against the Buckeyes. The last time the Illini went to Columbus in 2013, Illinois lost, 196.300-195.775. Two years prior, the Illini and the Buckeyes tied at the Covelli Center, 195.350-195.350.
Scouting Report
Ohio State is coming off a narrow .375 loss to No. 10 Michigan,197.400-197.025. This marks the second consecutive meet the Buckeyes have scored above 197.000, after beating No. 25 Ball State (195.650) and Towson (195.225) with a score of 197.150.Â
Sophomore Payton Harris grabbed the all-around title with a score of 39.600. Harris also had the highest vault and bars score for the Buckeyes with a 9.900.
Graduate student Ella Hodges had the highest beam score for Ohio State with a 9.950, with Harris taking a 9.925.Â
Harris tied for second overall with her 9.925 floor score, with three Buckeyes scoring a 9.900.Â
Ranked Illini
After scoring a 196.400 in a narrow loss to Nebraska, Illinois is now ranked No. 25 in the country.
Mia Takekawa also earned a ranking of No. 15 after scoring her third 9.900 on beam in Lincoln. Abby Mueller is ranked for the first time this season, landing in the No. 22 spot after scoring her career-high floor score of 9.950 against the Cornhuskers. Â
