CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The third-ranked Illinois men's gymnastics team looks to take hold of the Big Ten regular season crown, as the Illini head to University Park, Pa., to compete against both No. 6 Penn State and No. 4 Michigan.

Last Time Out

Despite putting together season-best performances on three events on its way to a season-high 415.700, Illinois couldn't overcome No. 1 Oklahoma's nation-best 425.700 Saturday at the McCasland Field House. 

Ring King

Alex Diab now holds the Illini program record with 26 career still rings titles, three more than both Dave Romero and Kevin McMurchie. Diab also holds the program's top scores (under the current scoring system) on both floor (15.050) and still rings (15.200). 

Illinois to Host 2019 NCAA Championships

The 2019 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships will be April 19-20, 2019 at the State Farm Center. It will mark the first time Illinois has hosted the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships since 2004.

Looking Ahead

Following Saturday's meet, the Illini will head to Columbus, Ohio, for their season finale at Ohio State. Meet competition is set for Sunday, March 24, at 4 p.m. CT.
